Essential 1 / Intro to Foundation work

 

Gentle - Educational - Restorative


This class will introduce you to the foundations of Pilates.

It is an excellent first step for those new to Pilates St Vital.

You will be introduced to the basic principles of Pilates.

You will be introduced to the machines and the steps for safe use of them.

Clients must have a good understanding of Essential 1 classes prior to registration into Essential 2.


Essential 2


Foundational - Supportive - Strengthening


This class builds on the foundational work of Essential 1 classes.

 In Essential 2 classes you will add the use of Props and an introduction to the stability chair and Cadillac.



 Intermediate

 

Empowering - Precise - Advanced


For this level, Essential 2 foundation work must be established with few physical limitations.

Expect a faster pace with movements requiring more strength, control, stability and endurance.

You will be challenged.

 


      Essential 2/ Intermediate (hybrid)

   

Progressive - Dynamic - Challenging


This class is perfect for clients wanting to go on to an intermediate class.

It is also a very suitable fit for clientele whose bodies do not do well in a full intermediate.

It is an Essential 2 class with a sprinkle of intermediate challenge added.

 


     Early Riser Reformer


Energizing - Uplifting - Focused


Early bird gets the worm!

This early riser reformer class incorporates reformer work, release work and stretching as well as facial hydration.

This class will be setting you up for success for the rest of your day.



     Stability Chair and Mat Work


Grounded - Balanced - Controlled


This class option is available both in studio and virtually for those who own a Merrithew Stability Chair.

 (Other makes can be used but modifications may be required.)

Your instructor will work you through both the Stability Chair and Mat repertoires. 

Suitable for levels Essential 2- Intermediate


Rehabilitation


Retore - Realign - Rebuild


Rehabilitation Pilates is excellent for more mature clients or clients recovering from injury, surgery or chronic pain.

Our Rehabilitation Pilates classes focus on gentle targeted movement to rebuild strength, improve mobility and restore balance to the body.

Under the guidance of our skilled instructors, each session emphasizes controlled motion, proper alignment and mindful breathing.

Whether you're easing back into movement or managing ongoing limitations, this class provides a safe, supportive environment to help you move with confidence and reduce discomfort.


 Sculpt and Stretch


Tone - Lengthen - Energize


This dynamic class blends the muscle-sculpting benefits of Pilates with the restorative flow of stretching with a dash of Barre work.

It's a fun and balanced work out done to music building strength, bone density and fascial tensegrity.

Tone your core and enhance your flexibility leaving you feeling both powerful and refreshed.

Sculpt and Stretch is perfect for those who want a full-body workout that challenges the muscles while promoting length, mobility and recovery.

You'll leave class standing taller and feeling rejuvenated from head to toe.



Fascial Release


Unwind - Rehydrate - Renew


Our Fascial Release class is focused on releasing tension and improving mobility.

It combines gentle Pilates-based movement with myofascial techniques to target the body’s connective tissue.

Using small props like balls and rollers, you’ll learn to relieve tightness, increase circulation, and restore elasticity to your fascia.

This class is ideal for anyone experiencing stiffness, stress, or post-workout tightness.

It will help you move more freely, breathe more deeply, and feel lighter in your body.


Bounce and Burn


Dynamic - Demanding - Elevated


          A Fusion of Pilates precision and Cardio Tramp power! This class merges rebounding cardio interval with core-focused movement.

You'll alternate between cardio bursts(intervals) and controlled mindful movements to sculpt, strengthen and energize your body.

Expect to gain endurance, coordination, stability and more! There are so many benefits to the impact of jumping.

It stimulates bone density building, lymphatic drainage, circulation(gets your heart pumping) and supports detoxification.

It's a fun and empowering blend of Pilates, fitness and flow and will challenge you.
